Every time I pass by banks, TNB or post office, I can see big crowds at the counters, ATMs and cars are double or triple parking along the shop fronts.
I also heard some of the people complaints that they find very troublesome in making the utilities bills payment because of very long queue, resulted they have to take annual leave to settle the bills once a month. Some also make this an excuse when TNB cut the electricity supply due to long overdue payment.
The traditional way of banking is very unproductive and not environmentally friendly. You need to drive to the banks, pay for parking, consume petrol, and worst part, waste hours in queuing up. Most of the transactions is available in Internet Banking. From own account transfer, third party account transfer, interbank transfer, fixed deposits placement and withdrawal, credit cards payment, loan payments, hire purchase payments, pay utilities bills & etc.
Hence, unless you are making transaction with huge sum, otherwise most of them can be done via Internet Banking.
Internet Banking does not only save you valuable time, but also save cost and environmentally friendly. It saves you gasoline that takes you to the banks, need not pay parking fees. At the same time, you reduce your carbon foot prints as well.
