Internet Banking - Green & Money Savings

Every time I pass by banks, TNB or post office, I can see big crowds at the counters, ATMs and cars are double or triple parking along the shop fronts.

I also heard some of the people complaints that they find very troublesome in making the utilities bills payment because of very long queue, resulted they have to take annual leave to settle the bills once a month. Some also make this an excuse when TNB cut the electricity supply due to long overdue payment.

The traditional way of banking is very unproductive and not environmentally friendly. You need to drive to the banks, pay for parking, consume petrol, and worst part, waste hours in queuing up. Most of the transactions is available in Internet Banking. From own account transfer, third party account transfer, interbank transfer, fixed deposits placement and withdrawal, credit cards payment, loan payments, hire purchase payments, pay utilities bills & etc.

Hence, unless you are making transaction with huge sum, otherwise most of them can be done via Internet Banking.

Internet Banking does not only save you valuable time, but also save cost and environmentally friendly. It saves you gasoline that takes you to the banks, need not pay parking fees. At the same time, you reduce your carbon foot prints as well.

Vote Lynas out on 5-May-2013

The Lynas rare earth processing plant is in operation even thought the Malaysian especially the Kuantan citizens are protesting.

If Barisan National continue to be in power after the 13th General Election, there will be no hope in stopping Lynas.

Now, there is only one way to stop Lynas, it is to vote BN out from Putrajaya and Pahang.

Voters, it is time for us to SAY NO to Lynas and BN.

My 7th Google Adsense Payment via Western Union

I have switched my Google Adsense payment mode from check to Western Union for faster money withdrawal as well as cost effectiveness.

But this very first experience with Western Union was not a favorable one. I have gone through the hassles and I would like to share my experience to my readers so that you do not need to go through what I had.

I went to Public bank on last Friday afternoon, the receptionists told me that the quota had been filled up and I was advise to do Western Union transaction before 11am.

Since Hong Leong bank is just located next to Public Bank, I made a try as well, and I got the same answer.

This Monday, I visited another Hong Leong Bank near my house. The bank officer told me that this branch does not provide Western Union services, I was referred to another Hong Leong Bank right opposite the highway. I made a U-turn, arrived at the said bank, and this time round, the officer told me that they provide service for Western Union money sending only, money withdrawal is not available.

I was very pissed off, and move on to another Hong Leong Bank in another town. The officer always has a reason for me. She said that the terminal that operates Western Union is faulty. I have then proceed to Public Bank next, and it was around 11:00am, the officer at Public Bank gave me the same reason that the quota was filled up, and I was told to come earlier.

Ambank was my next try, and again same result was given, the system went off line. I was then referred by the officer to try at Bank Rakyat. Without much hope, the officer told me that the Western Union money withdrawal service was not available since a month ago. I was referred to Bank Simpanan Nasional.

At that moment, I have given up totally. I decided to try my luck at the money changer counter that was dominated by the Indian and Mamak. I found one at one of the shopping mall, and finally the transaction is done swiftly.

Yes, the traditional money changer that runs by Indian and Mamak are far more reliable and efficient as compared to the banks in Malaysia. I really doubt that if Malaysia can become one of the regional financial hub as per what the government claim.

Say NO to Passive Smoking 7

It was a bumper to bumper traffic condition in the early morning along the Serdang Hospital driveway.

The scenario reflects that Malaysian is not healthy. I was puzzling with the root causes that contribute to such situation.

The driver of the car in front of me is puffing on cigarette. And it was happened in the hospital territory.

A part from angry and disappointment, I would like to point of my view as below:

1. Most of the Malaysian especially the government servants will not take care of their health as long as the government is subsidizing their medical bills.

2. We shout and cry on the anti cigarette campaign "Tak Nak", but where is the enforcement?

If you care, please share this post to your families and friends.
